TAKING PART

Waltham Forest Council commissioned Image17, a collective of 14 professional photographers living in Waltham Forest, to photograph our local sporting community in celebration of the London 2012 Olympics. Forty eight local sports groups were photographed, documenting the wealth of sporting opportunities within the borough and the work that these groups do to strengthen community ties. The images highlight the enthusiasm, passion and dedication of athletes, coaches and volunteers involved in community sport. The project was exhibited throughout the borough in the summer of 2012.
